Support For Waukesha

In light of the recent tragedy in Waukesha, the Bronzeville Foundation is partnering with The Corners of Brookfield and CIBM bank to deliver meals to the nurses and children affected by the tragedy at Children’s Hospital on Monday, November 29.

A $10 donation purchases a pre-approved meal from Goddess & The Baker. We are saddened to hear that members of our community will have to spend their Holiday in the hospital.

As a community, we have a chance to support those in need. Any amount helps!

You can make a difference!

This holiday season, the Bronzeville Foundation is partnering with LAUNCH and the Elmbrook Education Foundation to support the city of Milwaukee. Boxes will be set up at Brookfield East High School and Brookfield Christian from Tuesday, November 16 to Friday, November 19 to accept non perishable food donations. After school on Friday, November 19, all food will be transported to the Hunger Task Force food drive outside American Family Field. This is a longstanding event that collects well over a thousand pounds of food each year. The Bronzeville Foundation is extremely excited to engage the community by contributing to this event! If you can't donate food, please consider donating financially. Every dollar raised will be used to purchase food that will go into the boxes. Thank you to O'Donoghue's Irish Pub for their financial support. Happy Holidays!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame Raffle

In 2014, the Elmbrook Education Foundation provided financial support to the creation of the Spartan Union coffee shop at Brookfield East High School. Due to the foundation's continuous support, the Spartan Union has flourished into the successful business that it is today. Overseen by Joseph Seaman, the Spartan Union serves hundreds of students, faculty, and staff each school day. Despite its outstanding service and satisfying products, the success of the Spartan Union is not measured by these metrics. Rather, the coffee shop is seen as successful because it is run entirely by students. Considered as an elective course at BEHS under the name of "Business Leadership." students are able to serve in the departments of marketing, hospitality, and finance. The Spartan Union offers a unique, real-life business experience for high school students with honest monetary reward and consequence.

Many BEHS graduates that have completed this course have attributed their post-secondary success to skills they acquired in the Spartan Union. Cole Barnes, a current University of Southern California student, took Business Leadership twice during his time at BEHS. Because of Mr. Seaman's guidance and mentorship, Cole Barnes learned many valuable lessons that he continues to apply not only to his school work at USC, but to his professional ventures as well.

Cole Barnes and the Spartan Union have formed a partnership to create a fundraiser to help those affected by the pandemic. The group acquired a game-worn Christian Yelich jersey and 3 signed baseballs from the Milwaukee Brewers. All proceeds from this raffle will benefit the Elmbrook Education Foundation. It will be used to support Elmbrook Connect which provides relief to 100 kids in the Elmbrook district that do not have access to proper internet. As most schooling has an increasing amount of online content, this is a pressing issue.

Everyone involved with the Spartan Union is grateful to the Elmbrook Education Foundation for its unconditional support. Without their financial backing, the Spartan Union would not be the thriving coffee shop that it is today. The Spartan Union is excited and honored to partner with the Elmbrook Foundation for this unique event.

Bronzeville Foundation Charity Basketball Game

Father’s Day was one to remember for a handful of Wisconsin’s top ranked high school basketball stars.  The Bronzeville Foundation’s annual charity basketball game provided these young athletes with an  opportunity to put their talents on display in front of their fathers.

13 of the top 25 high school prospects in the state of Wisconsin were invited to participate in what turned  out to be a night of entertainment, familial bonding, and philanthropy. This event was only made possible by the absolute support from the Milwaukee community. As a not-for profit organization, the Bronzeville Foundation relied on the financial backing of those closest to them. The  team reached out to restaurants they dined in as children, businesses run by family friends, and up-and coming start-ups launched by their peers.

The Bronzeville Foundation wants to express our deep gratitude  towards our sponsors and partners: Coakley Brothers, MKE Muscle, Swag Promotions, Rockrose  Productions, All Goods, Helping Hands Haven, Dunn’s, Rell Outwork, Project Orchards, Animal House,  O’Donoghue’s. With such high-profile talent on the roster, the quality of play was something many spectators had not  witnessed before from this age group. The players were locked in from the second they stepped foot on the court. The energy of the game constantly switched between a dunk show, a three-point contest, and a  handles showcase. The drama came right down to the wire in what many fans described as the most exciting moment of the night as a player paced down the court and pulled-up from outside the arc to send the game into overtime.

“The game atmosphere was incredible. To see so many people from the community come together in  support of not only our foundation but the young men on the court was truly inspiring. The athletes enjoyed  themselves, the spectators were entertained, and even the event workers had a blast. Truly a family friendly  event, for a great cause” - Solomon Stewart (CEO)
